Beauty tips to get Rid Of Pimples?

Use a gentle, oil free, fragrance free, detergent free and pH balanced cleanser to wash your face.

If the whole of your facial skin is oily, then a cleanser with benzoil peroxide or salicylic acid in it will be appropriate for your skin.

Do not scrub your face as the infected cells may swell around the area and may lead to break outs.

Toners may cause your skin to become really dry and should be avoided unless your skin is way too oily.

TREAT!

Use an acne treatment which may contain either benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid or salicylic acid all over your face. You need to apply this even on the areas of your skin where there is no acne also.

Before hitting bed every night, use some drying spot treatment product and apply oil free moisturizer on dry areas of your skin.

Use an oil free sun screen all over your face every morning.

CONCEAL!

Find a concealer that exactly the same shade as that of your skin and apply it directly on to your facial blemishes with the help of a make up brush. Remove the excess concealer, if any, using your fingers and then apply a second coat if necessary. The best concealer for acne skin is exactly clay based concealer and with anti bacteria purpose. ( For example, Tea Tree Concealer )

In case the make up become messy, wipe it all off carefully and do it again. Apply a light coat of loose powder powder, same shade as that of your skin, on top of the concealer.

Make up or Natural Look?

Make up or Natural Look

For some women who are not skilled enough in choosing the right shade of make up to enhance their skin tone color and eye color, applying make up is a nightmare. If they lack the right techniques, or lack the artistic touch of make up, then it will be trouble. These women are scared of many aspects of make up like choosing the wrong shade for their skin, choosing the wrong shade for their dress, applying too much make up or too little, or making a total mess of the whole make up procedure. Because of all these horrible possibilities, many women just use some baby powder on their face along with some lip stick. And the lip stick could be a wrong shade for their lips as well.

Make up is done with the intention to garner the attention of the on lookers to the best features on your face than the others. The best looks are the ones which are the closest to your natural look. Even if your knowledge on make up is negligible, you will still be able to get a natural looking make up on your face without much of any hassle. The most important thing you need to give your attention is about getting the right shade foundation for your skin. And the shades you use should match and invisible with your skin tone color.

Note:

The best place to check to see if the foundation matches your skin shade is your jaw line. When buying foundation use a test dose on your jaw line and wait for a few minutes to see if it suits your face. If possible check it out in natural sun light, as artificial lights will give you skewed results. If it is the right foundation for your skin, you will find it really hard to notice and its invisible, if you have any foundation on at all!! It will blend in perfectly!!

What shades will suit beige toned skins?

In case you have beige skin tones with shades of peach or pink in it, then the right shades for your cheeks and lips are pink, peach and apricot. The first step involved in the make up is to hide all the blemishes on your face using a concealer. Next, you need to apply the foundation and then dust it off with matching talcum powder. Always use a foundation with SPF in it in order to avoid sun burn on your face as beige toned skin is very susceptible to sun burn. If you use too much make that will make you look older and will not be too good on your face and should be avoided. A coat of pink or peach lip gloss should be added as the final touches to your make up.

What shades will suit you if your skin has olive tones on it?

Use of a foundation with warm colors like golden brown will be the best on olive toned skin color. It is advisable to not use any foundation with shimmer in it, as olive toned skin is usually oily. If you apply a shade of bronzer on the apples of your cheeks, on your forehead and on the bridge of your nose, that would give you a sun kissed look. As far as your lips are concerned, an outline on it with a nude colored lip pencil followed by applying clear gloss all over the lips will do the trick.

What shades will suit you if you have yellow shades on your skin?

Those of you who have yellow under tones needs to avoid using ivory or pink shades for their foundation. Warmer colors with a yellow base will look better on them. As yellow toned skin tends to be drier and flaky, any powder foundations would not be good as they will make your skin even more drier. Apply a light pink colored gloss on your lips and light pink blusher on the apples of your cheeks, in order to give the finishing touches.

If you apply some moisturizer as a base coat first on your face, that would give better finish on your foundation. Try to reduce the amount of moisturizer applied and get off any excess moisturizer with the help of a tissue. If you put too much moisturizer that may cause the foundation to skid off your face. If too little moisturizer is applied, that may make it really hard for the right blending of the foundation.

Getting an understated look is not too hard. You never have to be an expert to get it done. This will give you a great natural look.

How To Apply Fake Eye Lashes?

Applying fake lashes is best left to your makeup artist, but with a little patience and practice, you can master this art. Don't try it just leaving to a big party.

Using a tweezers, dip the base end of the lashes into the glue, then place the lashes as close to the baseline of your own as you can, filling in wherever you want the greatest impact.Press gently, but firmly with something blunt. Hold the lash in place for about 5 seconds until the glue has a chance to hold.

Let the glue dry, and then apply a dark eyeliner to camouflage the line of the fake eyelashes and then apply mascara. The mascara will help blend your own lashes with the fake ones, and make your eyes look fuller and larger.

To remove, gently pull them off with your fingertips from outer corner eyes pull inward.

The Perfect Eyelash

Lash is the final touch to your eye make up. Always use an eyelash curler. It will make your eyes look wider, alert, and youthful. It's like an instant eye lift. Always curl lashes before applying mascara.

* Lightly powder lashes to give mascara a coat to cling to.

* Heat eyelash curler with hair dryer for a few seconds. It will act like a curling iron for the eyes.

Hint: Curl twice for a rounded curl. Place the open curl near the lash roots and arrange your lashes between the two rims. Squeeze gently for thirty seconds. Squeeze again at mid-lash for another thirty seconds. It looks very natural.

* Give upper lashes a second coat of mascara, concentrating on the tips by stroking the brush horizontally across the lash. Never wait when applying second coat of mascara to lashes. Mascara, especially waterproof mascara, dries quickly and can clump.

Dermabrasion vs Chemical Peeling

Dermabrasion

is a surgical procedure to improve and minimize the appearance of acne scars, wrinkled skin and correct scars resulting from an injury. This procedure involves mechanically scraping off the top layers of the skin using a special surgical instrument. The removal of superficial skin makes a healthier skin to come up and produce smoother texture and tighter skin. The surgery takes around one hour under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. Expect the skin to be red and swollen after the surgery. Swelling will go down within 2 to 3 weeks and may cause aching, tingling, and itching as the new skin begins to grow. External activities should be avoided for 4 to 6 weeks and it is important to protect the skin until the pigment has completely returned.

Chemical Peeling

is a procedure that uses a chemical solution applied to the surface of the skin to peel away the top cell layers which will be replaced during the healing process with a fresh and new skin surface. This is good for treating melasma, freckles, fine lines and wrinkles, facial blemishes, uneven skin pigmentation, shallow acne scars and discoloration from acne or sun damage. Deeper scars and wrinkles require more treatments. Chemical peeling can also treat whiteheads and blackheads that are seen with acne. The procedure is non-invasive and results will give a smoother, softer, tighter and youthful looking skin.

Are “Hypoallergenic” Cosmetics Really Better?

When shopping for cosmetics or skin care products, you’ll frequently see products that are labeled “hypoallergenic.” Implicit in this term is that these products are less likely to cause allergic reactions than other cosmetic products and that these products will be gentler or even safer for the skin than other products.

However, the U.S. Food Drug Administration (FDA) counsels that consumers should realize that no federal standards or regulations exist governing the use of the term “hypoallergenic.” In other words, the decision as to whether or not a cosmetic may be labeled as “hypoallergenic” lies solely with the manufacturer. And, this term may be applied without any demonstration or proof that the product causes fewer allergic reactions than others.

When labeling of cosmetics as “hypoallergenic” first became popular, the FDA attempted to regulate use of the term. In 1975, the FDA issued a regulation governing use of the term “hypoallergenic,” stating that a cosmetic product could be labeled "hypoallergenic" only if scientific studies on human subjects showed that it caused a significantly lower rate of adverse skin reactions than similar products not making such claims. The manufacturers of cosmetics claiming to be "hypoallergenic" were to be responsible for carrying out the required tests. But this regulation was subsequently declared invalid by U.S. courts, leaving manufacturers free to apply the term as they wish.

The FDA Office of Cosmetics and Colors Fact Sheet notes that the ingredients used to make all cosmetic products are basically the same throughout the industry. Decades ago, harsh ingredients were sometimes used that indeed caused adverse reactions in some users, but these ingredients are no longer used in the cosmetic manufacturing process. Scientific studies demonstrating that certain products or classes of products cause fewer adverse reactions than others on the basis of “hypoallergenic” are lacking.

The bottom line is that the term “hypoallergenic” has very little meaning and is primarily used as a marketing tool. It’s important to understand that it is impossible to guarantee that a cosmetic or skin care product will never produce an allergic reactions . Since the FDA does require that cosmetic ingredients be listed on product labels, consumers who have had allergic reactions or problems with a specific substance can avoid purchasing products that contain these substances.

How To Do Smoky Eyes Make Up

Smoky eyes have been a big style for quite awhile and there's no sign this particular trend is dying. Here i show you step-by-step instructions on how to get the perfect smoky eye.

The key to the perfect smoky eye is proper blending. You want to make sure colors are blended together flawlessly. Also, it's important to pair light base colors with rich dark colors. Nice mixes include: deep black with light gray shimmering on top, soft gold base with deep purple on top, champagne base with bright blue and peach base with green hue.

What You Need:

  • Eye primer (you don't need it, but it's great for keeping shadow in place)
  • 3 Eye Shadows: Lighter Shade, Medium Shade and Darker Shades
  • Pencil Eyeliner
  • Makeup brushes
  • Mascara
  • Fake Lashes (optional)

Tips For Smokey Eyes Make Up

  • Remember to keep lips bare and nude. When applying strong makeup (like smoky eyes or red lips) put the focus on either eyes or lips, never both! If dramatic smokey on eyes, lips must be tone down with bare and nude color.
  • For a bit of dramatic effects, try to fix fake lashes after mascaras. It will make your eyes open and full.
  • Liner doesn't have to come in pencil form. Makeup experts know eye shadows make some of the best eyeliners. To do this take an eyeliner brush, damp it a bit with water ( i normally sprayed face mist at tip of the brush), then dab wet brush into the dark shadow. This allows for a deep, precise line. You can also use the dark shadows without wetting brush first. Either way, eyeliner is necessary for smoky eye.

Smokey Eyes Make Up Steps

  • Start with applying eye base all over both eye lids then, use black eye liner pencil and apply half of your eye lids area. Then I used my flat eye shadow brush, damped a bit with water ( i normally sprayed face mist at tip of the brush) smudge it a bit upwards to lower borw bone lane and then dab on some silver or gray eye shadow. Press the brush flat against your lid, starting from the inside, and slowly making sweeping arches going just past your crease all the way to your outer corner. Go lightly when it’s above your crease, make it sort of heavy towards your lash line and fade as you get to your crease.

It should like the photo above.

And… like this one! See, the silver color comes a little above your lid.

  • Using flat eye shadow shadow brush flat against outer lid, I add Deep Black Eye Shadow and gently tap the color onto the lid. Do not blend or drag it, but dab the eye shadow gently on to eye lids.

  • It should get just a little darker on the outer lid. If the line is too harsh, gently fan the Deep Black Eye Shadow inwards towards the center of your lid with slow, sweeping strokes with the brush held sideways.

  • Using the same brush, take some more Deep Black Eye Shadow and gently press it into the middle of your crease. Slowly bring the brush from the middle to the left, and then middle to the right parts of your crease.

  • I used the Blender Eye Shadow Brush to pick up and blend lighters color and pressing it flat against the area above my crease, sideways, on the outer portion, I slowly dragged the color across towards just above my inner crease. You want to apply the color similarly to how you applied the Silver Eye Shadow earlier. Bring it just to the brow bone. And, see, harsh line!

  • Using Eye Shadow Blender Brush and apply it against the harsh line and gently dragging color upwards so that the gray/black colors are gradually fading into the neutral color.

  • Then use Flat Eye Shadow Brush again and get some light gray on it and press it just above my crease to help soften that harsh line.

  • Using the Eye Liner Brush, I dip it into Silver Eye Shadow (dry, not wet) and use it to brush a line of silver underneath my waterline.

See, now it’s coming together.

Then apply super black eyeliner, but whatever your preference will do just fine here.

  • Now used Flat Eye Shadow Brush to soften the eyeliner

And there you have it! The photos below are just my typical open/closed/side/full shots of tonight’s smokey eyes attempt.

Lips Make Up

Lip Make Up

Lips are unquestionable the sexiest area of the face. As you generally have to be beautiful, this is the one area where you really should put your money where your mouth is. There isn’t an icon in every decade who hasn’t had a memorable mouth – Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie or Naomi Campbell. They all have perfect pout blissful lips. So those who want to have irresistible lips, here are some key ways to go for it. There is surely something so intrinsically fun and sensual about painting your lips.

Lipstick:

Lipstick is available in a variety of textures. So you should familiarize yourself with what is available. Glosses are slick and sexy, and are available in a whole spectrum of colors, but they do not have longer staying power. Creamy lipsticks are youthful and suit all age groups. Lipsticks generally have silicons to help glide on more easily. Matt versions are too good for them who do not like jammy effect. Sheer Moisturizing lipsticks are surely more casual. They contain moisturizing ingredients like vitamin E or jojoba oil to keep you lips supple and soft. Lip gloss comes in many different textures, from lacquer-thick and syrupy to light and slippery.

Lip color: Although lip colors come and go, Red is always here to stay. Red is timeless classic that bridges the gap of age and culture. However, the top-selling lip color is not red, but shimmering coral!
Skin tone is important to choose your lip color. For those who want a classic look, it is best to stay within the color chart traditionally associated with your skin tone. In general Asians look wonderful in all the deeper, more vibrant colors.

Lip Tips:
  • Blotting with tissue removes excess oil and makes lip colour last longer.
  • It the lips are dry, apply a Lipscuff (Lip Scrub) from The Body Shop to get rid all flaky dry lips. Follow with Lip Butter ( i love Guarana Lip Butter from The Body Shop taste and smell good and its really works to moist dry lips)
  • For instant evening look, simply add a deeper lip colour to your basic face.
  • Use Lip Liner to fill the color onto your lips before applying Lipstick so that it will give you long lasting finish.

Eye Make Up

Eye Makeup

Eyes are considered to be the most expressive thing on the face. It is rightly said that “my eyes are an ocean where my dreams are reflected” or " window to heart". Eyes reflects your personality, your inner-self. When people meet you, they will look at your eyes first of all!

Eyebrows: Change your eyebrows and you totally redefine your personality. While fashions for thicker or thinner brows change quite frequently, if you were born with a strong pair of eyebrows, hold onto them, or at least think twice before plucking them.

Eyeshadow: Eyeshadow is an ‘ABC of make-up product, yet it remains one of the most difficult to apply. There’s that old saying that the eyes are the window to the soul. And eyeshadow is fabulous window treatment. Eyeshadow is a powerful thing; done right, it can instantly transform you. A touch of shimmer can give you a playful look, while a smokier shadow can turn you into a vixen. Eyeshadow depends upon the daytime eye, the evening eye and the party eye.

Eyeliner: Who could be most desirable girl in the party? Mostly, the girl with very expressive and suggestive eyes. Indian women have right idea to use eyeliner to make eyes more expressive, more beautiful, more dynamic! Drawing a line inside the rim of your lower lash line adds instant sultriness to your look.

Mascara: Start with curl your lashes with good eye lash curler. When you curl your lashes, remember to curl it from root of lashes, then move to middle then lastly end of tip your lashes so that you will get a natural lash curl.Coat your lashes with a few coats of mascara start from applying from top, root to tip then follow with your lower lash. Different mascaras type offer you different finish and looks. Do not re curl your lashes after applied mascaras! It will stuck your lashes into the eye lash curler.

Eyelashes: What could be more fetching than lowering your eyes, looking up through thick, lush lashes??!! With eyelash curler, primers and mascara, one can make eyes more beautiful, more sexy.

How to Apply Eye Makeup?

Before applying eye makeup, it's always a good idea to use a concealer to hide dark circles and wrinkles around the eyes. Choose a shade of concealer that's slightly lighter than your natural skin tone. Don't use too much and blend it in well.

Apply the eye shadow color in several thin layers, blend well. Put the sheer color on the center of your lid with a sponge applicator or pencil.

Next, brush up and out toward your brow, then nose. Use an eye brush if possible. Apply

a deeper shade of color to the crease of your lid.

Highlight Your Eyes

To highlight eyes, add a lighter shade of the same color of eye makeup to your brow bone.

Outline and Define Eyes

Outline the top and bottom of your lids with an eyeliner pencil. You can make short, close little dots with your eyeliner instead of a straight line. Smudge the dots or line lightly from the inner corners to the outer corners, if you want a softer line.

Outline Your Eyes

For great looking eyelashes, go over lashes first with an eyelash separator comb. Apply a thin coat of mascara to lashes (If you don't have many lashes, you may want to do lashes individually). Re-comb your lashes immediately after you apply the mascara. Let them dry, then repeat the process.

Removing Eye Makeup

Eye makeup should be removed with a cotton ball or swab that has been soaked in make

up remover. Makeup remover pads are good too.Choose your eyes make up

remover that gentle formulation and soap free to prevent dryness around eyes areas. If you are using waterproof eye make up, then you need to get special eyes make up remover to cleans them.Remember to be gentle and don't rush. Be especially careful when removing mascara. You can gently rub the underside of the lashes until they come clean. ( My favourite eye make up remover definetely Cammomile Eye Make Up Remover from The Body Shop)

Face Make Up

Foundation: Modern foundations are multipurpose, supplying a turbo-boost of sun protection, moisturizers and anti ageing ingredients, as well as colour and coverage. Foundation improves skin’s condition. Most importantly they contain ingredients that let the skin breathe, while also protecting it from pollution.
Choosing the right foundation is difficult part of the equation and the endless choice of texture and color could be confusing. Selects for you right type of foundation by understanding your type of skin. (Please refer to my skin care post earlier)

There are some thumb rules to decide about foundation

  • Foundation is decided under the right light.
  • Foundation should not be very dark to look like suntan.
  • Never to make yellow-toned skin look pinker by suing a pink based foundation, or vice versa.
  • To choose the foundation that matches the skin tone.
  • Allow a test color to sit on your skin for a few minutes before purchasing it. The acid balance of your skin may affect the color.
Powder: Powder is the magic dust of make-up. Just a whisper, used in the right place and applied with dexterity, can make the difference between an amateur painting-by-numbers and a real master!! Invisible but essential, the most effective powder is the one that is sheerest to the touch and the most translucent in appearance.

Concealer: It is meant to look as invisible as the blemish it is intended to disguise. If it is just a shade too dark or a tad too thick, this will not be the case. Concealer comes in variety of textures: the cream, the liquid, simple stick and hard product in a compact.

Fabulous Beautiful Make Up Start From Healthy Glowing Skin

Basic Skin Care Intro..

Many people take their skin for granted. The skin has several basic needs. First, it needs to be kept as clean as possible. Second, the skin needs to be protected from sunlight and other environmental insults. The skin of the face needs even more attention than the rest of the body because the face has more oil glands, especially the central forehead, eye areas, nose and chin.

If you seriously want great skin the very first thing to do and wear a hat and good quality sunscreen when out in the sunshine. Having said that, let's move on to understand the next three basic foundations to great healty looking skin.

If you want your skin to look and feel great, careful cleansing is very important. This should be done first thing in the morning and last thing at night to remove pore-clogging dirt and impurities. Don't cleanse enough and you could find yourself prone to spots. Cleanse to often and you could be stripping away essential oils and be susceptible to dry skin or even eczema. Understanding your skin type (normal, combination, dry or oily) and using a cleanser to match is the best foundation for great looking skin. Remember to rinse your face with warm water after using a cleanser, as any residue will continue to work on the skin if not completely removed.

Many people's used soap and water…isn't that good enough? Soap is not very good at removing makeup because it does not contain enough oils to dissolve the staying power that most cosmetics have today. Remember the 'tight' feeling after your have washed your fact with soap? Soap can be very drying on your skin and may wash away essential oils. Another reason not to use soap is that it is not matched to the natural balance of our skin. Soap is generally alkaline, whilst skin is naturally acidic.

The second step to great outer nutrition for your skin is to tone. Toners are designed to remove any last traces of cleanser, help to prepare skin to absorb moisturizer while also helping to tighten and refine pores and prevent the build-up of dead skin cells. After toning your skin should feel and look revitalized and refreshed, and ready to be moisturized. Again you will need to apply a toner that matches your skin type.

The third foundation step is to apply moisturizer to help restore the moisture loss caused by the drying effects of sunlight, central heating, wind, cold and pollution. A good daytime moisturizer would contain a sunscreen and will be easily absorbed into the skin. At night you should use a richer, more nourishing cream, which will help to restore your skin moisture level that we lost during day time.

Despite the plethora of products on the market and the myriad of additives…. the most important ingredient of any moisturizer is water! If water is just splashed on the skin it will not say there. Moisturizers are basically oil and water emulsions which contain a humectant (a substance added to another to make it moist), which attracts water and helps 'fix' it in the upper layers of the skin.

Moisture that is lost firm the skin needs to be replaced quickly so that the surface of the skin is kept both soft and smooth. The living cells in the layers need water so that they will not shrivel up and die. A moisturizer can protect the skin by providing a varier between the skin and the external environment. It also prevents the loss of moisture from the deeper layers of the skin.

Should people who have oily skin use a moisturizer? Moisturizers are particularly recommended for people with dry skin but everyone can benefit from using a moisturizer You simply need to ensure that you choose the correct moisturizer for your skin type. People with oily skin should choose a moisturizer with oil free or lightweight formulation that hydrates their skin whilst helping absorb any excess oil.

Different Skin Care Range For Different Skin Types..

Dry skin types should use skin care regimen that helps to intensively moisture the skin while protect the skin from dryness.

Oily skin types should use skin care regimen that offer oil-free and lightweight formulation which will help to reduce excess skin sebum production on your skin while skin will look fresh and matte.

Sensitive skin types should only use skin care regimen that mild or gentle formulation and totally with no fragrance or fancy ingredients.

Normal skin types can use any type of skin care regime but make sure u know what is your main concern use that range. Differents skin care range offered you differents skin concern for example, anti-aging, whitening or hydrating. However, normal skin is the best skin type to have!

Combination Skin types (normal to oily skin / normal to dry skin) should use skin care regimen that mostly lotion type and depends which combination skin that you prone to. If your skin combination more towards dry, use hydrating products and if your skin combination more towards oily you should go for lighweight lotion instead cream formulation.

Get To Know Your Skin Type..

The appearance of skin defines our perception of others and ourselves. A rash, wrinkles, eczema, can cause an astonishing degree of anguish because, let’s face it sometimes beauty is skin-deep!!
Skin is the body’s largest organ. If we stepped out of our skin and put it on a set of scales, it would weigh just under 3 kg. Its total surface area is almost 15000 square inch! Skin is dynamic and made up of cells and tissues. It is designed to act as a protective barrier against the environment and impedes the penetration of microorganisms.

  • Skin Type: Oily Skin, Dry Skin, Combination Skin, Sensitive Skin & Normal Skin

  • Oily Skin: Does your skin is prone to have pimples, blackheads and whiteheads? Does your skin has large pores? Does your face looks shiny when you wake up, especially in the T zone, to the chin? Does your foundation wear off after a couple hours? That proves that your skin type is Oily.

  • Your skin tends to overproduce sebum, making it feel and appear oily. This could be a good thing, actually, because it means your skin is always well moisturized, and you will have fewer wrinkles as you age. On the other hand, you are more prone to breakouts, since sebum has the tendency to mix with dead skin cells in your pores; this clogs them and produces pimples.

  • Dry Skin: If your skin feels itchy or tight, especially after cleansing, if your skin has rough, flaky or red patches, if your skin is sensitive to be sun, wind and cold, if your complexion look dull; that means you have dry skin.Dryness occurs when your skin doesn’t produce enough moisture and sebum.
